Keith Middleton became jealous as his girlfriend was talking on the phone.  He picked up her little 4 pound dog, Gizmo, and flung him across the room and into a door.  Gizmo’s injuries required the little three year old dog to be euthanized.

Keith Middleton has a history of violent behavior and is currently remanded in Cook County Jail.  Is he remanded for the murder of Little Gizmo?  No.  He is remanded on assault charges against a human.  Assault.  Not murder. 

Now, don’t get me wrong.  Keith Middleton should have been locked away from civilized society years ago, but our current laws have been watered down and revised to the point victims are the minor spoke in the wheel of justice.

Political correctness has taken over all good sense and has made is possible for slick sociopathic lawyers and misplaced bleeding heart public defenders to manipulate through the many loop holes now awarded them.

The next court date for Keith Middleton is Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 26th and California, room 302.  Chicago, IL.   Court begins at 9:30, however there is always a long line of lawyers for all the other cases scheduled to be heard that day (as all days) asking for continuance after continuance before a trial will begin . .  if a trial will begin.  More times than not, the defense attorney will think of some new question on a piece of evidence that will again call for yet another court date in order for the judge to rule on that motion.

So what is the reason for all these continuances?  Prolonging cases will hopefully tire out the witnesses, and in the misdemeanor courts, if the arresting officer doesn’t appear for one of the hearings, the case is simply dismissed.

Fortunately, in Middleton’s case, this cannot happen.  He is up on felony charges.  Middleton’s PRIVATE attorney is a mouthy, vainglorious, short woman who speaks incorrect English and walks around a lot making her presence known.  Not that this has any barring on the case, per-say, but I am still disgustingly puzzled why anyone would want to defend these people.  Now, wait, I am NOT saying that they shouldn’t be REPRESENTED, but in the cases that the attorneys KNOW their client is guilty of these heinous acts, how can they sleep at night conscious of their premeditated role of purposely contributing to the pain and destruction their clients will continue inflicting once they are set free?

Case in point, in one of the misdemeanor courts in Chicago there is a man (will not name him because he was not in the media) who was arrested for nine counts of cruelty and owner’s duties.  All dogs were impounded.  Well, not all.  One was dead.  “Cruelty” and “owner’s duties”  could mean a lot of things.  Nine dogs, one dead.  Think he was dogfighting?  Think?  His PRIVATE attorney  is trying to get the search warrant thrown out.  Note, this is occurring in MISDEMEANOR court.  That means if the search warrant is thrown out, then the man will go free.

First of all, killing an animal should NOT be considered a misdemeanor.  So that alone is a travesty.  Now to the lawyer who wants to show society that we just have to learn to live among defective humans doing grotesque things to us and those we love. . . .  I want to ask this lawyer a question:  “Would you want your client to move in the house next to you and your family?”

Oh, but I get off the subject of Keith Middleton and the murder of Gizmo?  No, because this is the convoluted mess that must be waded through in order to finally just have the subject of Gizmo’s memory resurrected.  Pulled out of the dusty vault from behind boxes of continuances, lawyer tricks, lost paperwork, and over-worked Assistant States Attorneys.  

Will the murder of Gizmo ever come to trial?  Not if Middleton’s pompous little lawyer has anything to say about it.  

My prediction.  Before Middleton’s bench trial for assault of a human even begins, deals will be made for a plea on the assault charges, thus shortening the length of a trial, loosening up the case load on the judge, and saving tax payers money, if the state will dismiss the inconsequential act of viciously, intentionally, hurling a little 4 pound dog against a door.  And another perk to all this?  Less jail time for Middleton.  After all, the prisons are over crowded.  Must make room for the next one.

Surprise me.  Prove me wrong.

Political correctness has mutated and IS a strangle hold over not only our freedom but increasingly becoming a threat to our survival.  

However, having said this, I must, of course, take issue with one of the examples. 

Although to injure of kill should be punished, and punished equally no matter what the circumstances, to not place a special interest on that circumstance being under the heading of “HATE”, would be the same as ignoring the hate which is behind radical Islamics when they murder those who don’t believe as they do and live their lives according to the Qur’an.

Radical Islamics use misinformation along with their religious beliefs to control their people.  They use misinformation and what is written in the Qur’an to believe they are superior to all others.  That their way is the ONLY way.  All others have no right to live their lives as equals no matter how peaceful those people are.

Misinformation, and or religious beliefs, used by ANY faction, or any individual, to place oneself as superior over another leads to hate.  Hate breeds violence.
